Naim Qassem, Secretary General of the Lebanese pro-Palestine group Hezballah, accused U.S. President Donald Trump of pitting all countries in the Middle East against each other to achieve his expansionist goals with the “complicit silence” of some Arab states.

During a televised speech, the Hezbollah leader condemned and rejected any forced displacement of Palestinians from their land and urged Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon to cooperate to reject their expulsion.
“Trump is confronting the entire region. He wants to displace the Palestinians to Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and other countries,” Qassem stated in his televised speech, adding that “the Arab and international silence during the aggression is what helped to achieve this U.S. position.”
Qassem asserted that Trump “wants to eliminate Palestine and the Palestinian people,” which he described as “political genocide” framed within the U.S. president’s attempts to “control the world.”
“Today it has been proven more than ever that everything Israel does is under the direction and leadership of the United States, and its job is to achieve the expansionist goals of the United States, and this will not happen,” he stated.
Hzbollah leader warned that this U.S. expansionist project “is dangerous for everyone,” especially for Arab and Islamic states, considering that “the Israeli occupation directed by the U.S. is meant to end Palestine and the Arab region and control the entire world.”
“Arab and Islamic countries must support the Palestinian people with the reconstruction (of Gaza) so that (the Palestinians) can remain in their land and have the basics to live there,” he reiterated.
In response to the proposal from countries such as Egypt and Jordan to develop the reconstruction of Gaza without the displacement of the Palestinian population, Qassem suggested that Hizballah be part of these reconstruction plans in order to provide support and prevent the expulsion of the Palestinians.
