Previously, the Pentagon announced that the U.S. will send ‘a few thousand troops’ to defend Israel if necessary.
Over the past 12 hours, the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has been responding militarily to Israeli occupation forces in the vicinity of Adaiseh and Kfarkila in southern Lebanon.

The resistance also carried out artillery attacks against Zionist soldiers in Metula, a town located in Israel’s northern border areas that was declared a “closed military zone” the day before.
“We attacked with Fadi 4 missiles the Glilot base of the Israeli Military Intelligence Unit 8200 and the headquarters of the Mossad, which is located on the outskirts of Tel Aviv,” Hezbollah also said.
On Sunday, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group and its air support will extend their presence in the region for an additional month.
Last week, the aircraft carrier named Harry S. Truman left Virginia for Europe. It will head toward the Mediterranean Sea, where two aircraft carriers will be present. It is expected to take at least a week.
On Monday, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh announced that the United States will send “a few thousand” troops to the Middle East to reinforce security and defend Israel if necessary.
That announcement came after learning that the Israeli government has already begun armed incursions across the border with Lebanon. The additional U.S. forces would increase the number of troops operating in the region to 43,000.
The additional personnel include squadrons of F-15E, F-16 and F-22 fighter jets, as well as A-10 attack aircraft, along with the necessary personnel to support them.
