In a statement, the Lebanese resistance group confirmed the death of Sami Abdallah, alias Abu Taleb, which is, according to the resistance, “the most important Hezbollah member to die so far since the start of the war”.

Hezbollah also reported that the attack occurred in the town of Jouaiyya in southern Lebanon, and in addition to Abdallah, three other fighters fell.

“With great pride and honour, the Islamic Resistance announces the martyrdom of the commander Taleb Sami Abdallah, known as ‘Hajj Abu Taleb’, born in 1969 in the city of Adchit, in southern Lebanon, who rose up as a martyr on the road to Jerusalem,” reads the Hezbollah statement.

Over the past few days, IDF-Hezbollah fire has seen escalation, with heavy artillery and air strikes between the two fighters.

According to information gathered by AFP, at least 458 Lebanese have been killed by Zionist attacks, of which some 90 were civilians.

The Islamic resistance in Lebanon carries out the attacks in support of the Palestinian people and in rejection of Tel Aviv’s genocidal attitudes against Gazan civilians.
