Through social networks the agency reported «The remaining hospitals, health centers and oxygen stations will stop operating within 48 hours as a result of the fuel exhaustion required for the operation of generators».

The ministry stated that the threat is imminent, despite all measures taken to save fuel.

«We call on all relevant international and humanitarian institutions to intervene quickly to bring the necessary fuel, in addition to the electrical generators and spare parts necessary for maintenance», he added.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has warned on several occasions of the danger of famine in the Gaza Strip due to the genocide of the Israeli occupation forces.

According to Ghebreyesus, “One in five Gazans suffer from extreme food shortages. Almost all Gazans face high levels of acute food insecurity”.

The United Nations (UN) Office for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women also reported that at least 557,000 women in the Gaza Strip are currently suffering from severe food insecurity.

Since 7 October, the Israeli invasion has killed 37,877 people and injured 86,969, the vast majority of them women and children.
