Houthi Rebels Claim Attack on a Tanker in the Red Sea

Yemeni Houthi rebels claimed on Monday an attack on the Blue Lagoon Panamanian-flagged tanker in the Red Sea off the coast of Yemen, with several missiles and drones.

The Amjad Saudi-flagged tanker was also attacked by the rebel group according to some sources, but the Houthis haven’t claim about it yet.
Amjad’s owner, Saudi national shipping group Bahri, did not immediately respond to a request for comment, says the Reuters news agency.
Amjad and Blue Lagoon tankers have a maximum capacity of 2 million barrels and 1 million barrels respectively.
Houthi rebels fight against the crossing of western or allied Israeli ships that can load supplies or fuel to the Zionist nation to continue the genocide in Palestine.
The Houthis have been attacking ships linked to Israel in the Red and Arabian Sea since last November.
The rebels said on Wednesday that they gave “permission” to the international community to tow with security guarantees the Greek tanker ‘MV Sounion’, attacked two weeks earlier.
