These drills come at a time of diplomatic tension with Pakistan, which India accuses of being behind the terrorist attack.
On Sunday, the Indian Navy conducted naval exercises that included the launch of long-range missiles in the Arabian Sea, amid escalating tensions with Pakistan following an attack in Indian-controlled Kashmir that left 26 people dead.

“The ships successfully carried out multiple anti-ship missile firings to revalidate and demonstrate the readiness of platforms, weapon systems, and crews for long-range precision offensive strikes,” the Navy said on X.
The message included a video and several photographs showing the launch of one of these missiles from one of the destroyers operated by the naval branch of India’s Armed Forces.
These exercises add to those conducted on Thursday, which aimed to carry out “a coordinated precision strike,” according to the Indian Navy.
The Navy’s drills come at a time of growing diplomatic tension with Pakistan, which India accuses of being behind the terrorist attack that took place on Tuesday in Indian-administered Kashmir, resulting in the deaths of 25 Indians and one Nepali.
Since then, both governments have significantly downgraded their bilateral relations, ordering the expulsion of diplomats, revoking visas of citizens from the other country present in their territories, and closing their shared land border. In addition, India has suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which had survived wars and minor clashes between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Pakistan carried out live-fire naval exercises on Thursday and plans to hold additional drills between April 28 and 30, although these had been scheduled prior to the outbreak of the diplomatic crisis.
