Numerous world leaders have expressed their congratulations to the emblematic leader of the Sandinista Revolution in commemoration of the 79th birthday of Nicaragua’s president, Daniel Ortega.
The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, along with the First Combatant Cilia Flores, sent a letter on behalf of the Venezuelan government and people.
In the message, President Maduro highlights Ortega’s unwavering commitment and dedication to his nation: “I want to express my sincerest congratulations to you on this special date as we celebrate 79 years of your tireless leadership and deep commitment to your people.”
The Venezuelan leader also wished Ortega health and success, hoping that he continues to guide his country toward peace and progress.
From Cuba, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez joined in the congratulations through social media, sending a “warm hug” and best wishes for health and prosperity.
Russian President Vladimir Putin also conveyed his congratulations to Ortega, highlighting his contribution to the strategic relations between the two countries. In his letter, Putin expressed confidence that “by uniting our efforts we will ensure the future development of these relations for the well-being of the Russian and Nicaraguan peoples.”
Additionally, Aslan Bzhani, president of Abkhazia, joined in the celebrations, recognizing Ortega’s tireless service and thanking Nicaragua for its recognition of Abkhazia’s independence. In his letter, Bzhani wished good health and new successes to the Nicaraguan president.
Daniel Ortega, leader of the Sandinista National Liberation Front, has been president of Nicaragua since January 2007. During his tenure, the country has made significant progress in the fight against poverty and has implemented policies aimed at stabilizing and renewing Nicaraguan society.
