Since 23 September, the cedar nation has been the victim of a series of massive aerial bombardments by Israel, which have already left more than 1,900 dead, as well as thousands injured and displaced.

Iran and Russia sent humanitarian aid to Lebanon to alleviate the critical situation of the population in the face of the advance of Israel’s genocide in the Middle East.

The shipment from Iran coincided with the visit of Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi, who arrived in Beirut on Friday at the head of a delegation made up of deputies and the president of the Red Crescent.

The aid sent by Tehran, a ten-ton shipment, includes food and medicine as part of its assistance to Lebanon.

An Il-76 military transport plane from Russia arrived in Lebanon on Wednesday with 33 tons of food, basic necessities, medicines and mobile power generators.

Russian ambassador to Lebanon, Alexánder Rudakov, highlighted the precarious situation in the Arab nation, worsened by the sharpening of the regional conflict.

In that regard, Rudakov said: “It is getting worse. For more than a week now, Israel has been conducting its air operations on Lebanese territory. At first we tried to count in Beirut how many times the traditionally Shia areas of the south were attacked. Now we have lost count”.
