The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Naser Kanani, said that the attack is “a clear war crime” carried out with “bombs donated by the US regime to the Zionist regime,” reported the state agency IRNA.
“Therefore, the US regime is undoubtedly complicit with the Zionist regime and must be held accountable,” said the Iranian diplomat.
Kanani also considered that the continuous attacks against the peoples of Palestine and Lebanon show that calls for a ceasefire by the US and some western countries “are a clear deception with the aim of gaining time for the continuation of crimes”.
Before the spokesman’s statements, the Iranian embassy in Lebanon said that the bombings on Friday represent “a dangerous escalation that changes the rules of the game”.
“There is no doubt that this reprehensible crime and reckless behavior represents a dangerous escalation that changes the rules of the game and requires appropriate punishment and discipline for its perpetrator,” the diplomatic headquarters said in a message on X.
So far, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has reported two deaths and 76 injuries as a result of Israeli bombing on Friday against the southern suburbs of Beirut known as the Dahye and in the Haret Hreik neighborhood.
