In this regard, the Deputy Minister of the Interior for Security and Law Enforcement of Iran, Mayid Mirahmadi, said that “before the elections, several terrorist agents who had been sent to the country to carry out terrorist operations were arrested by anonymous soldiers of Imam Mahdi, secret agents of the Intelligence Portfolio”.

He also said that “among his actions were calls to go to 1,000 places”.

Mayid Mirahmadi also stressed that anti-Iran groups and factions devised multiple strategies to disrupt the electoral process, claiming that “its first strategy was to discourage voter participation by promoting an electoral ban, and its second strategy was to infiltrate the candidates’ polling stations”.

The text reads,
Iran’s security forces thwarted a terrorist megaproject, programmed by counterrevolutionary groups, to disrupt the presidential elections.

On the other hand, “the last and fifth strategy of the enemies and adversaries was to raise the issue of electoral fraud and repeat the bitter incident of 2009”.

The authorities insisted that early elections were held on Friday at 58,640 polling stations throughout the country in complete calm and security, also owing to the deployment of 220,000 police.
