Brigadier General Ali Shadmani, deputy coordinator of Iran’s Central Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, announced today the commencement of security exercises aimed at enhancing the readiness of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces in combating terrorism. These drills are being conducted amid serious concerns over possible Israeli attacks on Iranian territory.
During a press conference, General Shadmani highlighted the significance of these exercises in bolstering Iran’s response capabilities against terrorist threats. “These exercises are essential to ensure the security and stability of our nation against any attempts at destabilization,” he stated.
The drills will take place across several strategic regions in Iran and will include simulations of terrorist attacks and rescue operations. The primary goal is to assess and improve coordination among various security and defense units.
Shadmani reiterated Iran’s commitment to safeguarding its territory and ensuring the safety of its citizens. “We are prepared to face any challenge and guarantee peace and security in our region,” he concluded.
IRGC Launches Anti-Terror Campaign in Western Iran
On Saturday, the IRGC Ground Forces initiated a large-scale anti-terrorism campaign named Payambar-e-A’azam (Great Prophet) 19 in the western province of Kermanshah. This operation is part of broader efforts to enhance combat readiness and address potential security threats facing the country.
Various divisions and specialized units within the IRGC Ground Forces, particularly from the Mirza Kuchak Khan Brigades, are participating in these military exercises. Iranian military forces routinely conduct drills according to a detailed schedule across different parts of the country to test their weaponry and equipment while evaluating their combat preparedness.
Iranian officials have consistently emphasized that the nation will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which they assert is solely for defensive purposes. They have also made it clear that Iran’s defense capabilities will never be subject to negotiation.
