The commemoration took place in various cities and was notable for its massive turnout. Early in the morning, Tehran became the epicenter of the mobilization, with a large influx of citizens waving the Iranian flag and carrying banners in defense of the principles of the Revolution.

During the event, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed the determination of the Iranian government and people in the face of external pressures and Western sanctions.

“Iran will never bow to foreigners. We do not seek war, but the enemy has tried to create conflicts from the very first day,” he said, dismissing claims that his country is weakened, calling them “mere illusions of our enemies.”

Referring to accusations made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Iran’s role in the region, Pezeshkian pointed out that Israel and its Western allies are killing people in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.

“If we defend Gaza and Palestine, we are defending the oppressed. If they seek to promote peace in the region, then they should not defend oppression, aggression, and injustice,” the Iranian leader said.

“We are in a total economic war and must confront it with our unity,” Pezeshkian stated, urging citizens to overcome internal differences and work together under the principles of the Islamic Revolution.

One of the most significant aspects of the day was the active participation of young people in the demonstrations, showcasing the continuity of the revolutionary spirit among the new generations.

Pezeshkian criticized Washington’s policy toward Iran and denounced the contradiction between Trump’s alleged willingness to negotiate and the imposition of new sanctions aimed at crippling oil exports.

In 1979, the Islamic Revolution brought an end to the Pahlavi monarchy, a U.S.-backed regime that for decades ruled with repression and subservience to foreign interests. Led by Ayatollah Khomeini, the Iranians overthrew Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and established a system based on Islamic principles.
