Over the last few days, the Zionist army killed at least 80 Lebanese and wounded 3,000 people.

On Monday morning, Israeli warplanes carried out over 120 airstrikes on sites of Hezbollah and in southern and eastern Lebanon.

On the outskirts of the northeastern town of Hermel on the border with Syria, airstrikes killed one person and wounded six others, two of whom remain in intensive care, Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry said.

The Emergency Operations Center announced that 11 people were also wounded in Aitaroun, and three others in Ainata. The intense wave of bombings affected a large number of points in the south of the country, including some 80 attacks concentrated in the Nabatieh region. The Israeli army also hit several areas in the eastern Bekaa Valley, far from the common border.

Israel included the Bekaa Valley in its radius of action this year, but until now that region in the east of the country had only been exposed to limited attacks against specific targets such as suspected weapons depots.

The Jewish state has launched several massive bombing campaigns against Lebanese territory in the past two days, amid an unprecedented escalation since its crossfire with Hezbollah began almost a year ago.

The clashes entered a new phase after thousands of communication devices in the hands of members of the Shiite group were simultaneously blown up last week in two separate waves, and a bombing outside Beirut killed several senior Shiite commanders. In the three attacks, the Zionist army killed at least 80 Lebanese and wounded 3,000 people.

The Israeli army and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire across the Israel-Lebanon border since Oct. 8, 2023, raising fears that the nearly one-year-long confrontations could escalate into a full-scale war.
