Since October 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have killed 37,925 Palestinians and injured at least 87,141 people.

Over the last 24 hours, Israeli occupation forces carried out raids in the city of Rafah and Khan Younis Governorate, resulting in 25 Palestinians killed and 81 people injured in the Gaza Strip.

At least five civilians died in an Israeli airstrike on a market near the al-Shamaa mosque in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Another 17 civilians died in ongoing Israeli airstrikes in other areas. In one of these operations, Israeli warplanes attacked a group of civilians while they were filling water near the al-Shamaa mosque.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said it expects that 250,000 people will be forced to flee Khan Younis, although there is no safe place in Gaza.

The Israeli occupation forces have entered the central areas of the Shujayea neighborhood, where they are being confronted by the forces of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).

Videos show “the Israeli military tanks being targeted as the Israeli forces are still operating until now inside that neighborhood. They are seeking to control that area despite their previous announcement that they managed to dismantle all sorts of military infrastructure in that area,” Al Jazeera reported.

“What we see is that battles are raging as the Israeli fighter jets continue to shell and hammer different residential buildings,” it added.

Since Israel began its offensive against Gaza in October 2023, its occupation forces have killed 37,925 Palestinians and injured at least 87,141 people, according to data from the Gaza-based Health Ministry.

Currently, thousands of victims remain buried under rubble or scattered on the roads. Rescue teams and ambulances cannot carry out their operations easily because Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct their movements.
