The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its teams responded to the casualties following the Israeli army’s targeting of Rafida School located near the PRCS headquarters in the city of Deir al-Balah. Medics said ambulance crews and the civil defense apparatus recovered the dead bodies, including children and women, some of whom were dismembered.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military justified what happened by saying that its forces had carried out a “precise strike” against militants who were inside “a command and control center” in the compound of the Rafida School in Deir al-Balah.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Hezbollah destroyed an Israeli tank that was advancing towards a town in southern Lebanon. “An Israeli enemy force consisting of five tanks and infantry elements attempted to advance towards the Ras al-Naqoura axis in the western sector of southern Lebanon,” members of the Islamic resistance said without providing details on the number of casualties.

In recent days, the Israeli army has paved the way for its infiltration into Lebanon with heavy artillery bombardments on the Ras al-Naqoura area and its surroundings. Zionist forces have carried out 13 airstrikes against seven villages and towns in the western and eastern sectors.

On Thursday, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said that two UN peacekeepers were wounded after an Israeli tank fired towards a watchtower at the UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura.
