The Israeli government launched a series of airstrikes early Friday targeting multiple areas in Lebanon, including the Bekaa region and border towns in the south of the country.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the bombings also struck northern Lebanon, particularly in Wadi Khaled, Akkar district.

One of the airstrikes hit a truck carrying batteries and scrap metal in the Al-Wawiyat area, while another attack targeted the Jab al-Ward crossing.

Ibrahim Al-Moussawi, a member of Lebanon’s Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, condemned the Israeli incursions and called for an immediate response from the Lebanese state.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s Ministry of Health stated via Facebook that the Israeli attack on Janta-Bekaa resulted in two deaths and ten injuries.

Al-Moussawi also urged the government and national army to take action to halt Israel’s continued violations and protect Lebanese citizens.

Al-Moussawi denounced the inaction of the international community, accusing it of complicity in Israel’s violations of Lebanese sovereignty. He emphasized that the recent airstrikes represent a severe breach of international agreements.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, which was originally set to expire last Sunday, has been extended until February 18. By that date, Israel is required to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon.

However, Israel’s refusal to pull back its forces, along with ongoing attacks on civilians returning to their homes, has been widely condemned as a serious human rights violation.
