Israeli forces conducted an airstrike on the offices of the pro-Iran broadcaster Al Mayadeen in Beirut, which is linked to Hezbollah. The network reported on its website that the attack occurred on the night of October 23, 2024, despite the fact that its offices had been evacuated at the onset of the conflict in Lebanon.

Al Mayadeen stated, “On Wednesday night, Israeli forces carried out aggression against our office in Beirut,” holding Israel responsible for the strike.

This incident coincided with a statement from Qatari network Al Jazeera, which dismissed claims made by the Israeli military regarding six of its journalists in Gaza.

The Israeli military accused these journalists of being “agents of the military wing” of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, a characterization that Al Jazeera condemned as an attempt to silence reporters still active in the region.

According to a statement from the Lebanese Council of Ministers, the ongoing bombings have resulted in a staggering death toll of 2,574 and over 12,001 injuries since Israel began its attacks on October 8, 2023.
