The Lebanese Health Ministry indicated that the condition of seven of the injured is serious, and that the bombing caused significant damage to the hospital, one of the most important in Beirut.

On Monday, Israel resumed bombings on neighborhoods such as Haret Hreik, Al-Ruwais, and Al Ghobeiry, as well as an area near Beirut International Airport. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Israeli military justified its actions, claiming it had attacked some 230 targets of the resistance movement.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Lebanese Red Cross reported that three paramedics from its team were injured by shrapnel in an attack during a rescue operation in the town of Nabatieh, in the south of the country, where they had gone to assist victims of an earlier Israeli airstrike.

The attack on the rescuers occurred despite the Red Cross having established contact with UNIFIL, the United Nations peacekeeping mission in southern Lebanon, to assist the victims of the Israeli incursion.

Once on site, the Red Cross members began the process of assessing the area to locate the injured, treat them, and carry out rescues, but the area was targeted again, and three paramedics were injured by shrapnel and transported to the hospital.

This is not the first Israeli attack on medical personnel. Nine days ago, the Lebanese Red Cross reported that several of its members were injured when Israeli aircraft bombed a house for the second time in the southern town of Sirbine.

The Health Ministry Director Fadi Senan noted that Israeli attacks have destroyed 50 healthcare centers, more than 150 ambulances, killed 150 paramedics, and damaged 14 hospitals to date.

Since October 8, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have killed at least 2,483 people and injured 11,600 in attacks on Lebanese territory. The intense Israeli bombings in southern and eastern Lebanon have forced the displacement of over 1.2 million people.
