Israeli Airstrikes in Damascus: At Least 15 Civilians Killed

The Israeli aviation “targeted a residential apartment near the Al Saraya roundabout” in Mezzeh, while in Qudsia the target was “a building belonging to a Palestinian movement near the Al Sahaba mosque”, according to the NGO based in the United Kingdom and with an extensive network of ground collaborators.

A number of Syrian citizens were killed and others wounded today in an Israeli airstrike targeting two areas in the Syrian capital, Damascus.
The attack took place around 15.20 (local time). According to Syria’s state news agency, SANA, it aimed the Mazzah and Qudsaya neighborhoods, causing both fatalities and injuries among the civilian population. It has been reported at least 17 dead and 16 injured, among them women and children.

Mezzeh is known for being one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the Syrian capital, where embassies and residences of members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, leaders of Palestinian factions, and high-ranking officials of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah are located.
These latests assaults are part of the ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, which have intensified in recent weeks amid the Israeli offensive on Lebanon.
