Israeli Airstrikes Kill 29 Lebanese in Beirut

In response to the airstrikes, Hezbollah used guided missiles to destroy five Israeli Merkava tanks in southern Lebanon.
On Sunday evening, Israel launched several waves of airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs. This followed other Zionist attacks that killed at least 29 people and injured 66 others in the Lebanese capital.

Israeli warplanes bombed areas including Haret Hreik, Burj Barajneh and Hadath. The al-Jadeed television station recorded 12 airstrikes in less than half an hour.
Footage shared on social media showed huge clouds of black smoke rising over Beirut’s suburbs following Sunday’s attacks. The strikes followed Saturday’s deadly attack on an eight-story residential building in Beirut’s Basta Fawka neighborhood.
While Israeli media reported that the attack targeted a senior Hezbollah resistance movement official, Lebanese lawmaker and Hezbollah member Amin Sherri denied that there were any military or civilian figures from his party in the building.
In response to the airstrikes, Hezbollah used guided missiles to destroy five Israeli Merkava tanks in southern Lebanon on Sunday. The resistance movement also launched attacks on multiple locations in northern Israel, including Kerem ben Zimra and Kfar Blum.
Since September 23, the Zionist army has intensified its airstrikes against Lebanon. Subsequently, in early October, Israeli occupation forces began a ground operation across its northern border into Lebanon.
On Sunday, Lebanon’s Health Ministry said that Israeli airstrikes have killed 3,754 people and injured 15,626 since October 8, 2023.
