Israeli occupation forces blew up the door of the Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman Mosque in the town of Tammun, south of Tubas, as part of a continued military assault on Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, local sources confirmed Wednesday evening.

The attack is part of an ongoing four-day siege on Tammun and al-Faraa refugee camp, where Israeli soldiers have raided homes, forcibly displaced families, and turned residential buildings into military outposts. In addition, several Palestinians have been arrested and interrogated as the occupation intensifies its crackdown.

Residents report a humanitarian crisis caused by Israeli forces, who have deliberately destroyed main water pipelines, resulting in severe shortages of water, medicine, infant formula, and essential supplies. Parts of the town and the refugee camp are also suffering from power outages due to Israeli infrastructure destruction.

This assault comes as Israeli forces expand military operations across the West Bank, including in Jenin, Tulkarm, and their refugee camps. Simultaneously, Israeli settlers have escalated violent attacks against Palestinian communities in an effort to seize land and expand illegal Jewish settlements.

The escalation follows the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners as part of the Gaza ceasefire, after which Israel imposed stricter military controls, further isolating Palestinian cities with barriers, checkpoints, and roadblocks.

For 58 years, Israel has maintained a brutal military occupation over the West Bank, using systematic repression, land confiscation, and violence to advance its settler-colonial project, in direct violation of international law.
