Israeli Forces Raid Beit Ummar, Causing Suffocation Among Residents and Students

Several Palestinians suffered from suffocation on Monday due to excessive tear gas inhalation after Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
Mohammad Awad, a media activist, reported that Israeli forces stormed the town and fired tear gas and concussion bombs into the playground of a local high school, affecting both students and residents.
The Israeli army frequently conducts raids across the West Bank, often storming Palestinian homes without search warrants, under the pretext of pursuing “wanted” individuals. These incursions regularly trigger confrontations with local residents.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders exercise full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over three million Palestinians in the West Bank, leaving them without any control over how these powers are imposed.
