At least 51 Palestinians were killed and 115 others wounded in the past 24 hours amid Israel’s relentless genocidal campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.
Health authorities in Gaza confirmed that the overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023 has now reached a staggering 52,243 fatalities, with over 117,639 others injured. Women and children make up the overwhelming majority of the victims.
Since Israel resumed its large-scale assault on March 18 — following a two-month truce — at least 1,783 Palestinians have been killed, while 4,683 others have been wounded, local health officials reported.
Emergency teams continue to face immense challenges in reaching victims trapped under rubble or lying on roads, as Israeli occupation forces persist in targeting ambulance and civil defense crews, further deepening the humanitarian catastrophe.
Despite repeated appeals from the United Nations Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and binding rulings from the International Court of Justice urging preventive measures against genocide, Israel’s assault on Gaza shows no signs of cessation.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire, with thousands feared dead under debris and the enclave’s civilian infrastructure systematically destroyed under Israeli bombardments.
