In the past 12 hours, the Israeli occupation army has initiated a new incursion into the Masharaa hill area in Quneitra province, southern Syria. The soldiers were accompanied by reconnaissance drones and what have been described as “preventive” attacks.
Israeli forces have cut off the road connecting the towns of Mashaara and Nabaa al-Sakher, located in central Quneitra. Mashaara, one of the villages in the Syrian Golan Heights, is situated 12 kilometers east of the provincial capital.
On Tuesday, the Israeli army conducted another incursion into southern Syria, targeting provinces such as Daraa and rural areas of Damascus. They also assaulted the village of Saida, which borders Quneitra, and advanced to Al-Bakkar in western Daraa, attacking the community of Ain al-Bayda in northern Quneitra.
Several Syrian communities have protested against the occupation and ongoing Israeli aggressions against national sovereignty. During various demonstrations, there have been calls for a strong response from the transitional government to address these violations.
