Israel’s occupation forces have legalized five outposts, which are the start of illegal settlements, in the occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank.

The illegal settlements have received the approval of the Israeli Security Cabinet in the occupied West Bank and imposed new sanctions on the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on the proposal of the finance minister, the ultra-right, Bezalel Smotrich.
Peace Now, an agency dedicated to monitoring the situation in the West Bank, regretted that the Israeli government “awards prizes to criminals” instead of working to provide a response and greater security to residents of the south, affected by the war in Gaza, and those to the north, where there are more than 60,000 evacuated by the exchange of fire with Hezbollah, in Lebanon.
The European Union (EU) condemned Benjamin Netanyahu’s action “strongly” this Saturday and noted that this is Israel’s “another deliberate attempt to undermine peace efforts”. EU warned that it will not recognize changes in the 1967 borders between Palestine and Israel despite the expansion of illegal settlements promoted by the Israeli government in the West Bank.
The Yesha Council, the umbrella agency for all settlements in the occupied West Bank, is also expected to meet to advance the approval of thousands of additional Israeli settler homes in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli media reports.
