Israeli settlers, backed by armed forces, razed large tracts of Palestinian-owned land in Khallet Hassan, west of Biddya town in the occupied West Bank, according to the Salfit Governorate.

Eyewitnesses reported that bulldozers escorted by settlers entered the area and leveled approximately 70 dunums of agricultural land, destroying 80 olive and almond trees, stone retaining walls, and a water well.

The Governorate stated that the area has been under attack for years, with settlers and Israeli forces systematically denying Palestinian farmers access to their land.

Settler Attacks: A Widespread, Unpunished Reality

Violence from Israeli settlers against Palestinians has become routine in the West Bank, with Israeli authorities rarely prosecuting the perpetrators. The attacks include:

  • Burning of homes, mosques, and agricultural lands
  • Stone-throwing and physical assaults
  • Uprooting of olive and fruit trees
  • Seizure of farmland and water sources

Currently, over 700,000 Israeli settlers live in illegal settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in violation of international law.
