Israel disregards international calls to stop the war and the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe it creates.

On Monday, Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned previous deadly Israeli shelling on a school housing displaced persons in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Calling it “a heinous crime that adds to the war crimes committed by Israel against the brotherly Palestinian people, a blatant violation of international law and humanitarian principles, and a deliberate targeting of civilians and shelters for displaced people,” the ministry said that Israel “disregards international calls to stop the war and the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe it creates.”

It urged the international community to take a firm stance to immediately stop the “brutal Israeli aggression” against Gaza, provide necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and halt Israel’s ongoing violations of international law, holding those responsible accountable.

According to the Hamas-run media office, at least 22 Palestinians were killed, including 15 children and women, and some 80 others injured on Sunday in the Israeli shelling of the Al-Mufti school.

In the past 24 hours, Israeli occupation forces have killed at least 55 Palestinians and wounded 329 people in the Gaza Strip, according to data from the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Among the most recent victims of Zionist violence are 11 members of the Al Sayed family, who died when the Israeli army bombed their house at night in Al Fallujah, in the north of Gaza, which has been under military siege for 11 days.

Since October 2023, Palestinian authorities have counted 42,344 dead and 99,013 wounded, all of this excluding from the count the more than 10,000 bodies estimated to be found in the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israeli bombing.
