“Netanyahu is preventing us from advancing toward true victory. That is why we are leaving the emergency government today, with a heavy heart but with full confidence,” Gantz said in an appearance that should have been yesterday, but which was postponed after an operation in Nuseirat with bombings that killed more than 270 Palestinians.

“There must be elections that bring a true Zionist-national unity government. Netanyahu is blocking important strategic decisions for political considerations. Political considerations of Netanyahu’s government hamper strategic decisions in Gaza,” said Gantz.

Gantz gave 8 June as the deadline for his party to leave the War Cabinet if it failed to agree on a “comprehensive action plan” with six objectives: to bring the hostages home, overthrow and demilitarize the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza, establish an alternative government in the Gaza Strip, guarantee the return of residents on the northern border and forge relations of normalization.

Former General’s departure means that Netanyahu’s coallition will lose the backing of a centrist bloc that has helped broaden support for the government in Israel and abroad, at a time of increasing diplomatic and domestic pressure due the more than 37,084 killed by the Zionist occupation.

Gantz, who was on the opposition’s side before 7 October, was the only leader to accede to Netanyahu’s request to form a national unity government in wartime and secure a post within the War Cabinet, In addition to Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant is also present.

Jewish Power, the ultra-right party of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir announced today that he will vote again with Netanyahu’s coalition in parliament as long as “there is no (truce) unwise agreement on the table” though his main ally, US has urged you to accept the new agreement signed in Egypt.

The ultra-right Itamar Ben Gvir volunteered after Gantz resigned to replace him as a cabinet member.
