Last Friday, the Permanent Mission of Lebanon to the United Nations in New York submitted a complaint to the Security Council regarding the ongoing Israeli attacks on the country’s infrastructure, which constitute a clear violation of the ceasefire agreements intended to last for sixty days.

The complaint condemned the blatant violations of international law and represented a direct threat to Lebanon’s sovereignty and security. The Lebanese mission also denounced the destruction of agricultural, livestock, and food production lands.
According to representatives, the destruction of these productive areas directly threatens the country’s food security.
Lebanon has called on the Security Council to take immediate action to stop the violations of the ceasefire and demanded compensation from Israel for damages in the food and infrastructure sectors.
During recent ceasefire violations, Israel launched systematic bombings against border villages such as Ayat al-Shaab. Additionally, in the suburbs of Al-Fouqa and Dir al-Zahrani, Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes.
Israeli troops also fired tear gas and grenades at several residences in Aitaroun, while simultaneously occupation vehicles destroyed some civilian facilities in the city of Tyre.
In response, the Lebanese Army is advancing its deployment across various regions in the south, primarily in Tyre and Bint Jbeil, where it is reclaiming areas previously occupied by Israeli forces.
In Al-Naqura, specialized units continue cleanup and reconstruction efforts to reopen roads, actions that are being carried out in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and a committee of five nations overseeing the ceasefire agreement.
