“Yesterday the enemy attacks left 55 dead and 156 wounded,” said the Lebanese Ministry of Health, adding to the more than 1,000 that have already been left by the Israeli offensive in Lebanon.
The majority of deaths, 22, occurred in Nabatea, in the south of the country, where 47 people were also injured, although the Ministry of Health did not specify whether they were killed by the ground offensive that Israel began yesterday on the border.
There were also 3 dead and 33 wounded in the province of Mount Lebanon, surrounding Beirut, and 11 dead and 19 injured in the province of Balbek-Hermel, in the north-east, among other attacks specified by the Ministry.
The Lebanese government had already reported on Monday that in the last 24 hours, various Israeli attacks in the country have left 95 dead and 172 wounded.
These figures add to the more than 1,000 people who have died and about 1 million who have had to flee their homes in the past two weeks as a result of Israel’s brutal bombing campaign, mainly directed against southern and eastern Lebanon, but also against the southern outskirts of Beirut.
