According to local sources, a dense column of smoke can be seen rising in Saida. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
The attack against Saida is considered the strongest since the beginning of the ceasefire, as despite the pact the Zionist artillery regularly launched attacks on areas in southern Lebanon.
Israel had previously opened fire on a group of journalists in the southern Khiam region, and several caravans of displaced persons have been raided as they returned home.
According to the IDF, suspicious activity was detected in several southern areas and several artillery and tank attacks were launched as a preventive measure against resistance actions.
It should be noted that Israel must leave Lebanon within 60 days of the imposition of the ceasefire.
