Peace is the most precious child that the Homeland has; it must be taken care of, and we must allow peace to continue prevailing above all, said the Venezuelan president.

During the inauguration of the XXI National Sports Games “Oriente 2024”, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called on Friday to take care of peace and allow it to continue prevailing in the country.

Maduro pointed out that the sports movement must be invested with efforts, work, methodology, professionalism, science, and resources so that the country takes a new impulse.

“And we will be all these days pending the youth of Venezuela, because we have to raise with more force the Olympic athletic sports movement of Venezuela. I felt very excited, I tell you, very excited to see that Venezuela follows a path of stability, peace, and happiness for the people,” said the Venezuelan president.

These XXI National Sports Games will have for the first time a representation from the state of Guayana Esequiba, which the president expressed joy about.

The Venezuelan head of state announced the participation of 6,500 athletes from the 25 entities of the country, the capital Caracas, plus the remaining 24 states, who will compete in 57 disciplines.

The opening day was an example of unity and commitment to national sport, where the efforts of the authorities and the community in supporting young athletes were highlighted.

The competitions will take place in the states of Anzoátegui, Monagas, and Sucre and will allow athletes to demonstrate their talent and dedication in various sports disciplines.

With a focus on excellence and participation, the games promise to be a memorable event that will celebrate the diversity and talent of Venezuelan athletes.
