A magnitude 5.1 earthquake was recorded this Friday in northern Peru, with its epicenter in the Pacific Ocean, 267 kilometers from the town of San Pedro de Lloc. According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), the earthquake occurred at a depth of 38 kilometers. It was indicated that it was mild and did not generate alarm among the population.
The IGP confirmed through its account on the social network X that no material damage or casualties have been reported as a result of the earthquake.
