On Monday, the military government of Mali announced the closure of diplomatic relations with Ukraine, supporting the Russian diagnosis “on the neo-Nazi and villainous character” of the Kiev authorities “allies of international terrorism”.

According to the statement, these acts “violate Mali’s sovereignty, go beyond the framework of foreign interference, which is already reprehensible, and constitute an aggression against Mali”.

Last week the Malian military government announced that 47 soldiers and 84 advisers of the Russian paramilitary group Wagner had been killed in a clash with Tuareg rebels in the north of the country.

Therefore, it announces the “immediate” break of diplomatic relations with Ukraine and the referral “to judicial authorities” the actions of the Ukrainian intelligence chief and the ambassador as constituting in their opinion “acts of terrorism”.
