The general secretary of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the organization, civility and cohesion during the event, considering it a support to the Bolivarian project. “More than 47,000 assemblies in holy peace: nowhere did a chair fly off or there were facts to be regretted” Cabello said.

Diosdado Cabello highlighted the success of the assemblies with a participation of more than 5 million citizens, highlighting popular mobilization and local leadership, emphasizing that this achievement demonstrates the strength of the PSUV and its allies, consolidating a political model rooted in popular power, where community structures play a decisive role in the selection of candidates.

About the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB), a coalition that brings together the Chavista forces, Cabello said they are “one united block” and that “this speaks of our organizational strength,” highlighting that programmatic and political unity is a pillar for facing the upcoming electoral challenges.

On the other hand, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro also added to the positive balance, calling the process “a total success” and a message of stability stating that “The people sent a clear message: we are the backbone of peace and the future”, he proclaimed.

Maduro linked the assemblies to the legacy of the Bolivarian Revolution, affirming that free participation in communities strengthens popular sovereignty. “There is Revolution for a while,” he said.

During the day, it was highlighted that there were 163,015 applications with 131,902 applications, where women represent 54% of all applications in community assemblies, surpassing men with 46%.

21,648 proposals for governorate candidates were received, with a breakdown by age where the majority group (45.5 per cent) is over 50 years of age. For the Legislative Branch, 66,731 people were nominated for deputies to the National Assembly and 74,636 for legislative councils.
