On Tuesday, Industries and Production Minister Pedro Rafael Tellechea worked a fruitful day in the state of Carabobo, visiting the glass factory of Venezolana del Vidrio (Venvidrio) and the Venezuelan Industrial Consortium of Technology China (Civetchi), to learn about the productive capacity of both companies, from the vision and experience of their workers.

President Nicolás Maduro Moros entrusted Tellechea with “the recovery of all the country’s public, mixed and private industry”. In this sense, the minister initiated a work agenda that includes visits to the industrial park that is in the hands of the state. The first stop was the Venvidrio plant, located in Los Guayos and belonging to the Socialist Corporation of the Glass and Packaging Sector (Corsovenca).

Accompanied by the company’s chairman, Ghimi Santini, the minister was informed of the operation of this plant which produces glass containers and meets the needs of various sectors, especially food and pharmaceuticals. After a tour of its facilities, Tellechea held a general assembly with the workers to hear ideas and proposals that could contribute to the development of this sector.

In the afternoon, the minister visited the Civetchi car assembly plant, located in the southern industrial area of Valencia. He was accompanied by Hermes Alexander Arrieche, chairman of the company, and Mileidys Bastidas, head of the Socialist Corporation of the Automotive Sector (Corsoauto).

Civetchi is engaged in the assembly of family, cargo and transport vehicles, with the aim of strengthening the national motor vehicle fleet. From there, Tellechea also held a meeting with the working class, listened to them, shared their experiences and thanked them for their effort and ingenuity to recover and keep this company operational.

President Nicolás Maduro’s Economic Recovery, Growth and Prosperity Program is the foundation that has allowed Venezuela to add 13 consecutive quarters of economic growth. One of the fundamental axes for maintaining this upward curve is to consolidate the process of national industrialization, encouraging production chains and import substitution.
