More Than 400 Killed in Five Days of Terrorist Offensive in Syria

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), at least 417 people were killed, including 44 civilians, seven children and four wome, in the five-day offensive launched by Turkish-backed Islamist factions in northwestern Syria.

United Kingdom based SOHR, said 219 members of the “Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham” (Liberation of the Levant Organisation, HTS), a terrorist group leading the coalition responsible for the offensive, along with 137 Syrian Army soldiers, including four officers, have died.
So far, HTS hasn’t given a tally of their casualties, while according to the update of the Russian Coordination Center in Syria, 320 military personnel were killed in the last 24 hours in Idlib, Hama and the provinces of Aleppo in Syria while the Syrian television announced that around 1,000 terrorist militants were killed in clashes with the Syrian Army.
Jointly Syria and Russia attacked as part of a large counter-offensive, attacked the positions of those groups in western Aleppo and their supply routes, in addition to carrying out concentrated bombings against positions in Idlib.
A correspondent for the Arab news channel Al Mayadeen reported that Syrian and Russian warplanes carried out attacks on positions of Hayyet Tahrir al-Sham in the vicinity of Khan Sheikhoun and Morek.
It was also stressed that the Syrian army is strengthening its positions in Hama and has regained control of the city of Halfaya, as well as Qalaat Madiq, the village of Maardas and other localities in the rural area of Hama.
