‘Any citizen from anywhere in the world who has investments in Brazil is subject to the Brazilian Constitution and laws,’ he stated.

On Friday, Brazilian President Lula da Silva said that Elon Musk must comply with the Supreme Court’s decisions regarding the social network X and urged him to adopt “a different attitude.”

“Any citizen from anywhere in the world who has investments in Brazil is subject to the Brazilian Constitution and laws,” the leftist leader stated after Musk refused to comply with the Supreme Court’s orders to remove content from X.

Lula emphasized that Musk, who has shown alignment with the Brazilian right, must “accept the rules” and that having a lot of money does not entitle him to disrespect and offend the country’s authorities.

Meanwhile, Musk continued to post attacks on X against Judge Alexandre de Moraes, whom he called “a disgrace to the judicial robe” and compared to Lord Voldemort, the dark wizard from the ‘Harry Potter’ books.

Currently, De Moraes is leading an investigation into the spread of false information through X. For this reason, the Brazilian judge has ordered the removal of certain content on several occasions.

After the magnate refused to comply with the orders, the judge raised the possibility of imprisoning the company’s legal representatives, to which Musk responded by closing the X office in Brazil. On Wednesday, De Moraes ordered the businessman to appoint a legal representative in Brazil within 24 hours to comply with court rulings and address the fines imposed on X in the country.

Musk refused and accused the judge of having blocked the bank accounts of another of his companies, the satellite internet provider Starlink, to ensure payment. Additionally, the businessman acknowledged the possibility that X’s operations could be suspended in the country, where the social network has around 20 million active users.
