The recent inauguration of the X Iran-Venezuela Joint Commission took place at a prominent event, presided over by Venezuela’s Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, alongside the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hojjatolah Soltani. This meeting aims to further consolidate the strategic relations between both nations.
During his speech, Minister Gil emphasized that “the purpose of this meeting is to strengthen the historic friendship and cooperation between our countries, which are united in the fight against coercive measures imposed by Western powers, as well as in the pursuit of a new diplomatic paradigm based on solidarity and mutual respect.”
The Venezuelan chancellor reaffirmed Venezuela’s commitment to Iran, stating that “Iran can count on our country in all its actions to defend the dignity of the Iranian people and its territorial integrity. They will always find in us the firm will of a people and a government that supports the Iranian people. We are confident that we also have the support of the Iranian people and government to face these challenges together.”
For his part, Ambassador Soltani highlighted the opportunities Venezuela offers for Iranian investors, noting that bilateral relations are entering a new phase. “Private sectors are already actively involved here. Iranian companies are investing in Venezuela, and we are developing joint projects,” he commented. He also emphasized that “Venezuela presents itself as a true paradise of opportunities for those who wish to work seriously.”
