The incident coincides with the incursion of Israeli troops into the village of Marda in the province of Salfit.
At least 20 Palestinians were killed and an undetermined number wounded in an Israeli massacre that occurred late at night (local time) against a popular cafe located in the al-Hamam neighborhood of the Tulkarm refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank.

According to WAFA, many civilians were at the café headquarters when the occupation army aircraft fired at least one missile.
Initially, three deaths were reported, then five; subsequently, the number rose to 14, then 16 and in the latest update the death toll rose to 20, although it is likely to increase in the coming hours.
Civil defence and ambulances came to the scene to provide first aid to the victims, some of whom were transported to the local Thabet Government Hospital.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society noted that its teams transported the bodies of some deceased persons to hospital, along with an injured person.
This coincides with the incursion of Israeli troops into the village of Marda in the province of Salfit, also in the occupied West Bank, where a local resident was physically assaulted and subjected to search.
Several vehicles were also confiscated and some shops in the centre of the village closed down.
Since 7 October 2023, Israel has declared war on the Palestinian Resistance Movement and launched a series of bombings against the Gaza Strip, which have so far left more than 41,700 dead and 96,600 wounded.
