New Poll Keeps President Maduro as a Favorite To Win the 28J Elections

A new National Survey of the Center for Measurement and Interpretation of Statistical Data (CMIDE) shows candidate Nicolás Maduro as a favorite to win the Venezuelan Presidency in the elections of July 28.

The survey revealed that the president Nicolás Maduro would win the July 28 elections with more than the 53% of the valid votes, while being consulted on Who do you think will win the presidential election on July 28? 75% of respondents said President Maduro.

The rector of the University Arturo Michelena, Giovanni Nani, reported an interview with the Venezuelan television channel Globovision, that there is a high probability that the elections and the political climate in the Caribbean country is not polarized.

“If just 5% will be divided between Luis Eduardo Martínez, Benjamín Rausseo, Antonio Ecarri and Javier Bertucci, if they just grab 5% and the election is not polarized,” Nani said.

The official addressed the issue of social media surveys. In his opinion, “they are done irresponsibly, they have no reliability”.

He warned that “they have no statistical value. They want to predict winners for July 28 by social media surveys or even TikTok.”
