“We will not forget or forgive Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for his complicity in the war in the Gaza Strip,” said Renegade Activists, who organized the demonstration.

The members of this group, dressed in black and wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh, went up to the seat of Parliament and hoisted large black and white banners over its entrance that read: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free”. “No peace in stolen lands” and “War Crimes”.

The protest received repression, resulting in the arrest of four demonstrators, although the demonstration was dissipated, the propalestine banners remained in sight of all citizens in the parliamentary building.

This situation also happens with the legislator of Afghan origin Fatima Payman, who has worn hijab during government sessions.  She announced that she had left the government, refusing to assume the party’s position on Gaza.

“My family did not flee from a war-torn country to come here as refugees for me to keep quiet when I see atrocities committed against innocent people,” Payman said.

It should be remembered that around the world, pro-Latin groups have protested against the positions taken by the West, supporting Israel and ignoring the genocide carried out by the Zionists in Gaza.
