Canadian woman is wanted by Indian police for purportedly having her husband killed in India.

Police in India are attempting to track down a Canadian woman from Toronto who is suspected of paying four men, including two of her "lovers," to kill her husband in India, CTV News reported Wednesday.

Pawandeep Kaur is wanted for the fatal stabbing of her estranged husband Jaskaran Singh. Four suspects have purportedly carried out the stabbing in the village of Sawara, in Kharar, in the Punjab region of India.

Kaur was romantically involved with two of the suspects, according to Gursharan Singh Grewal, the superintendent of investigations for SAS Nagar police. He also said the couple had a strained relationship, because Singh was living in India rather than with his wife in Canada.

The superintendent said they have made a request for her extradition.

As CTV News reported, Jaskaran Singh's father, Dharam Singh, intends to gain custody of his grandchildren and "deliver justice" to his son.
