The director devised children characters to appeal to his target audience.
The animated Venezuelan film, "Pequeños Heroes," or "Small Heroes," portraying the life of Latin America's liberator, Simon Bolivar, is set for release at the 2017 Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France.
The film is based on the Bolivarian revolution and is narrated through the eyes of three children witnessing the struggle against the Spanish Empire. Simon Bolivar helped win the independence of Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Panama, freeing the Latin American nations from the Spanish rule.
"Pequeños Heroes," directed by the Argentine Juan Pablo Buscarini and co-produced by the Villa del Cine, will be shown at several events, including the most important festival in the world in the genre of animation, Annecy.
