The lawsuit alleges that Donald Trump raped an underage girl at parties hosted by registered sex offender Jeffery Epstein.

A lawsuit alleging that Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, raped a 13-year-old girl in 1994 was filed Monday in a Manhattan Federal Court.

The lawsuit was filed by a woman identified only as "Jane Doe" in court documents. In them she alleged that Trump repeatedly raped her in 1994 at parties hosted by Jeffery Epstein, a U.S. financier who was convicted of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution.

The plaintiff said that in one incident, Trump tied her to a bed and raped her despite her pleas for him to stop. The lawsuit further alleges that Trump hit Doe in the face and threatened her and her family if she ever talked about the ordeal.

“Immediately following this rape, Defendant Trump threatened me that, were I ever to reveal any of the details of Defendant Trump’s sexual and physical abuse of me, my family and I would be physically harmed if not killed,” read the affidavit filed by the plaintiff.

Jane Doe's allegations are corroborated by another unidentified woman, identified only as “Tiffany Doe,” who said that Epstein, a registered sex offender, hired her to recruit underage girls.

This is not the first time that these allegations have been leveled at Trump. The lawsuit was dismissed by a Los Angeles Federal Court judge last month due to improper paperwork.

Trump has previously denied the allegations, calling them “categorically false,” and suggested they were politically motivated.

According to the court documents, Jane Doe decided to file the charges now due to Trump's presence in the media spotlight.

New York has a five-year statute of limitations in civil rape cases, which the plaintiff has requested be waived.

She is demanding US$75,000 in damages and an order of protection against Trump.
