Trump said thousands and thousands of Britons backed his promise to ban Muslims from the United States. 

U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump believes the British people will vote to leave the European Union on June 23 in part because of the "craziness that is going on with migration."

In an interview with Good Morning Britain, the infamous racist said that thousand of Britons backed his pledge to ban Muslims from the U.S., noting he has received letters and calls of support.

Trump, front-runner to win the Republican Party presidential nomination for the Nov. 8 election, has made xenophobia a centerpiece of his campaign.

Voters in Britain will vote June 23 on a referendum to decide the country's EU status.
