Nicaragua at the UN: The Nation Expresses its Concern About the Abuses of the World Powers

Nicaragua denounced the prevalence of the imperialist model at the United Nations: “by wiping out beings, cultures, lands, enslaving, crucifying, they claim that life is to their liking, desire and convenience.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Valdrack Jaentschke, representing Nicaragua, participated on Monday, September 30, in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UN).

From the lectern, the diplomat expressed the concern shared by his nation that despite the knowledge of «abuses, aberrations and aggressions of the powers and the unjust world order», the countries of the world do not find «Common responses to the frailties and sorrows of our societies.»

In this regard, Jaentschke noted «the catastrophes of injustice, the pretense of supremacy, the perverse appetites for domination, submission and barbarism, as in the most terrible times of what they called colonization or conquests, seems to make humanity’s slavery worse.»

However, he projected that «the old world designed by the conquerors will be frustrated, they, sad and alone, with the condemnation and repudiation of those we have learned to revere love.»

“The power of all for the good of all, we lose our souls every day and not because we sell them to the devil, but because our generations do not learn from the millions of beings sacrificed throughout history,” reflects the head of Nicaraguan diplomacy.

“We do not and will not be silent, we denounce and condemn the genocide that the government of Israel and its allies in the first world have committed, commit and continue to commit against the glorious Palestinian people,” said the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister.

He also condemned the attacks against Syria and Iran, as well as the interventionist actions carried out against Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela and Nicaragua itself.

At the same time he denounced «the occupation and usurpation of rights of peoples and countries like Haiti.”

«Only the union of the peoples of the planet will make the imperialists of the earth exist» said Jaentschke, who stated: «we are one with Chávez Nicolás and his great people in all times, we are one with the Cuba of Fidel, Raúl and Miguel together with their worthy and formidable resistance; we are one with Bolivia and its respectable roads, we are one with Honduras and its challenges, we are one with all of Mesoamerica and the challenges that we face», said the minister from Nicaragua.

And emphasized: «we are one with all the fighters and warriors of the world and with the strength of firmness and dignity that we have always had and that today more awake than ever let us crucify us to the contrary we raise our flags with pride and joy»

Sovereignty and self-determination of peoples

The Nicaraguan representative indicated to the colonial powers that, although peoples are subordinate to power, they are rich in culture, resources and community and value models.

«We defend our supreme dreams with Bolívar, Martí, Sandino, Morazán and so many great beings who preceded us and anticipated us the duty to fight, to fight, to fight, to win, to win and to win», said Jaentschke.

He stressed: “No one can take away the certainty of a new world, no one can take away the reality of a fraternal world of understanding, solidarity and respectful cooperation.
