Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and Vicepresident Rosario Murillo have sent a letter to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressing his heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Algerian Revolution, which is commemorated on November 1st.

In his message, Ortega highlights the historical significance of this date, celebrating the victory of the National Liberation Front of Algeria in its struggle for sovereignty, self-determination, and independence for the Algerian people.

Ortega, on behalf of the People and Government of National Reconciliation and Unity of Nicaragua, reaffirms his country’s commitment to strengthening the fraternal ties that unite both nations. The Nicaraguan president emphasizes the importance of solidarity and mutual cooperation as fundamental pillars in the relationship between the two countries.

We greet the 70th anniversary of the Revolution of the People and Government of the Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria.

“On this memorable and significant date, we reiterate our unwavering commitment to continue strengthening the bonds of respect, solidarity, and cooperation that unite our peoples and governments,” Ortega states in his letter.

This message not only reflects Nicaragua’s desire to maintain a close relationship with Algeria but also highlights the recognition of Algeria’s historical role in the struggle for freedom and the rights of peoples.

The letter concludes with a warm greeting to the Algerian people, expressing the love and respect of the Nicaraguan people towards their brother country.

“Receive, dear comrade president, our fraternal embrace, with the affection and respect of the Nicaraguan people towards the brotherly Algerian people,” concluded.
