Nicaragua Greets Saudi Arabia on Unification Anniversary

Nicaragua greeted Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the 92nd anniversary of its unification, conveying on behalf of the people and government its most sincere congratulations to the king of that Arab country Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

“On this solemn date, which commemorates the enduring legacy of King Abdulaziz Al Saud, we recognize his Government’s outstanding leadership at the regional and international levels as well as its strong commitment to achieving peace, welfare and development for his people,” Daniel Ortega’s government said in a statement.

Nicaraguan government highlighted that they share with Saudi Arabia this ideals at the time they reiterated their unwavering commitment to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that unite “our Peoples and Governments.”

The letter, also addressed to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohamed bin Salman was also signed by the Vice President and Daniel Ortega’s partner Rosario Murillo.

The unification of Saudi Arabia was a political and military campaign by the House of Saud against various sheikhs, emirates, kingdoms and tribes of the Arabian peninsula, which were conquered between 1902 and 1932, the date when the modern kingdom of Saudi Arabia was proclaimed under the leadership of Abdelaziz ibn Saud.
