In an act of solidarity, the Nicaraguan government reaffirmed its commitment to Venezuela following the recent sanctions imposed by the United States on Bolivarian government officials.

The show of unity was emphasized by Yván Gil, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela in Nicaragua, who, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, thanked President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo for their firm rejection of these attacks.

During a statement issued by the Nicaraguan government, “arbitrary and illegal” measures were condemned that, according to the statement, seek to undermine the determination of the Venezuelan people for their freedom and sovereignty.

 “We once again condemn, repudiate, and reject the arbitrary measures… that U.S. imperialism has taken against 21 Venezuelan brothers,” it was emphasized in the official text.

The statement also highlighted the sovereign union and revolutionary alliance between Nicaragua and Venezuela, emphasizing that both peoples are committed to the struggle for justice and self-determination.

Yván Gil expressed his gratitude for Nicaragua’s unconditional support, emphasizing that the efforts of the Bolivarian government are dedicated to defending and protecting their homeland. “We express our sincere thanks to President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo for their strong rejection of the recent U.S. empire’s attack on Venezuela,” said Gil.
